Postcards from the PNW

Welcome to Postcards from the PNW (that’s Pacific Northwest for the acronym-challenged), my new blog. I’ve lived in Southwest Washington, right across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon for 13 years now. I didn’t come here for the hiking or the farmers markets or the fleece or the microbrews, but it comes with the territory.  I’m both beneficiary and, on occasion, critic. From time to time I’ll be posting observations on how I see things working here in the alleged Quality of Life Capital of the World. Enjoy.
